After being put into skates and sent on my way at the age of 3, my love for the sport of figure skating has never gone away. I am a NCCP Certified Canskate and Regional Coach with so far, 8 years of coaching experience and hopes to achieve Certification at the Provincial level soon. Throughout my years of skating I became a quad gold skater, passing my gold skills, free skate, dance and interpretive tests. I competed at both the gold star-skate and novice competitive levels, and was a competitor for the Western Ontario provincial team in 2012. I also competed 2 years at the Varsity level while studying my bachelors degree in Sociology at Brock University. And now as an adult, you can now find me skating synchro - something I wasn’t the biggest fan of as a child but have fell in love with after returning back to my hometown. Recently I have been focused on building a new synchro program for all of Norfolk County and surrounding clubs to participate in. The overall goal is to provide opportunity for skaters to skate as a team and have multiple teams at different levels to represent our small towns in a big way.

My coaching philosophy has always been to take pride in coaching skaters on and off the ice as the sport of figure skating requires a large amount of physical and mental strength to succeed. As a coach, I have the opportunity to share my passion of figure skating to upcoming athletes and as I want skaters to achieve all their goals throughout the sport, I also strive to ensure they develop life skills, build individuality and be proud of the sport they do.

Private lessons are available by email.
